MOSCOW August 25. 2024 (Saba) - The governor of the Russian Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced on Sunday, that a Ukrainian attack targeted the village of Rakitnaya in the region.
Sputnik Agency quoted Gladkov as saying in a statement via the Telegram application, "At midnight, the Ukrainian Armed Forces dealt a severe terrorist blow to the village of Rakitnaya. Unfortunately, the enemy shelling resulted in the deaths of five civilians." He pointed out that "the attack resulted in the injury of 12 people, including three minors."
He added: "Ten private homes were damaged as a result of the attack, while gas was temporarily cut off from the villages of Rakitnaya, Borispol and Novolinynskoye, and there is local damage to the power line."
