Al Rubae stresses importance of introductory festivals to promote wealth of agricultural Yemen​

SANA'A August 25. 2024 (Saba) - The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubae, stressed the importance of festivals and activities introducing agricultural products as a promotional and marketing window and an auxiliary factor to highlight the wealth of Yemen in the agricultural field.

This came during his visit today to the Agricultural Products Exhibition, which included samples of the bounties of agricultural Yemen fruits, in which the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and the Agricultural Exports Unit of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee participate, within the activities of the first Yemen bounties festival for pomegranates, apples, grapes and dates in Sana'a.

Where he listened to an explanation from the official of the Export Development Unit, Mohsen Atef, on the ways to display agricultural products and fruits that highlight the local product and befit its global status and reputation, in addition to searching for external marketing windows that receive Yemeni agricultural products.

The minister praised the level of holding and organizing such festivals and events to promote national agricultural products and benefit from the advantage and quality that is unique to some Yemeni agricultural products, which contributes to supporting the national economy.

He considered these activities the beginning of the launch towards gradual self-sufficiency in various agricultural crops, especially strategic, which contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of Yemeni agricultural products in local and foreign markets, expanding exports, and diversifying consumer destinations.

Dr. Rubae pointed out that developing and improving the productivity of the agricultural sector of fruits and agricultural crops will help provide new opportunities for farmers, exporters, producers, service providers and others, for the benefit of the national economy.
