GAZA August 26. 2024 (Saba) - A UN organization on Monday warned that the water shortage reached 85 percent in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, as a result of the 11-month-old Zionist aggression.
According to Sama News Agency, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said in a post on the X platform: "Due to the ongoing military operations in Deir al-Balah, only three water wells out of 18 wells are still operating, resulting in an 85 percent water shortage."
"People in Gaza not only live in constant fear for their lives, but struggle to meet even their most basic needs," UNRWA said in a second publication, stressing that "this is a total dehumanization, a never-ending tragedy."
"Families across the Gaza Strip are still forced to flee and leave their homes and belongings behind."
UNRWA concluded its publication by renewing the demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
