SA'ADA August 31. 2024 (Saba) - The Criminal Division of the Saada Governorate Court of Appeal began on Saturday the trial of eight defendants convicted of the crime of communicating with the countries of aggression and those working on their behalf.
In the session, which was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Court of Appeal - Judge Abdullah Mutahar Al-Dailami, and the membership of Judge Amir Al-Din Sari and Judge Ali Al-Shajni, and in the presence of the Chief Prosecutor, Judge Ibrahim Jahez, the summary of the case, including the indictment sheet, the judgment of first instance and the petition of appeals submitted by the appellants, were read and responded to by the prosecution.
The court heard the appellants' statements their defenses, and the prosecution's response to them, and decided to confront them with the rest of the evidence until the next session.
The first instance verdict convicted the defendants of the charges against them in the indictment and punished them with Tazir death.
