CARACAS September 03. 2024 (Saba) - The U.S. authorities' seizure of the plane used by President Nicolas Maduro Moros in the Dominican Republic is an act of piracy, the Venezuelan foreign ministry said on Tuesday.
The U.S. anew committed a repeated criminal practice that can be dubbed only as piracy, the ministry said in a statement carried by AFP, citing the "illegal seizure of a plane used by the President."
According to the Venezuelan government, no country or constitutional government is safe from illegal steps used by Washington to trick the international law. It repeatedly used its economic and military power to terrify and pressure countries, like the Dominican, into colluding in US crimes.
This is another example of a regime seeking to establish an approach of the powerful to imposing bases suitable to their interests with impunity, the government said in a statement.
