BAGHDAD September 5. 2024 (Saba) - Force from the 43rd and 33rd Regiments within the 59th Brigade, under the Nineveh Operations Command of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, carried out a security operation, on Thursday, to search and cleanse southeast of Nineveh.
A statement by the Mobilization Forces, reported by the Iraqi "Al-Maalouma" Agency, said: "The force began combing and cleansing the area adjacent to the Upper Zab River, reaching the Al-Kuwayr Bridge, to close all security gaps in the face of terrorist remnants and enhance security and stability in the region."
Earlier today, an Iraqi security source confirmed the launch of a security operation in the Ain Laila sector, far north of Diyala.
