SANA'A - SABA: The second popular festival for the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, organized by Al-Tahrir district with support from the Charitable Society for Teaching the Holy Quran and its Sciences, is concluding its activities tomorrow.

The festival, which began on September 1, features a series of cultural events celebrating the Prophet’s birthday.

Today's ninth day of the festival showcased a range of performances, including chanting, poetry, and theater, all highlighting the significance of the Prophet's birth and encouraging adherence to his teachings.

The Habib Allah chanting band, led by Abdulathim Ezz El-Din, delivered performances celebrating the Prophet’s virtues and the transformative impact of his message.

Poet Sami Obeid recited a poem praising the Yemeni people's unique dedication to the Prophet's birthday, contrasting it with the pre-Islamic era of ignorance.

Meanwhile, actors Moath al-Bazzaz, Asaad Al-Kamel, and Tariq al-Sufyani performed a play emphasizing the importance of the Prophet’s birthday in reinforcing Islamic values and rejecting foreign influences.

The festival also included competitions about the Prophet’s life, the Holy Quran, and Yemen’s victories, with cash and in-kind prizes awarded to winners.

Additionally, five food baskets were distributed to needy families in al-Tahrir District, along with gifts for children who participated in various cultural activities.

The festival, featuring diverse cultural expressions, underscores the community's deep reverence for the Prophet and their commitment to celebrating his legacy.
