Abdelmadjid Tebboune has been sworn in for a second term as president of Algeria​

ALGERIA - SABA: Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune took the oath of office on Tuesday, securing a second five-year term following his re-election in the first round of voting.

The Constitutional Court announced last Saturday that Tebboune won a second term after obtaining 84.30% of the votes in the elections that took place on the seventh of September.

In his speech at the inauguration, the Algerian president pledged to hold an inclusive national dialogue to plan the process of "democracy of the right" that gives sovereignty to those who deserve it.

He also committed to achieving self-sufficiency in wheat by the end of 2025, and to reaching self-sufficiency in barley and corn by the end of 2026. In the employment sector, the Algerian president pledged to create 450,000 jobs, pledging to reach 20,000 start-ups by the end of his second presidential term.
