TOKYO - (Saba): Japan has ordered the evacuation of over 60,000 people from central Japan due to heavy rains and resultant floods. One person has died, two others have been seriously injured, and three are missing.
Four others have gone missing while working on road repairs in Wajima. Local officials reported 44,700 residents were forced to evacuate, while 16,700 residents from the Niigata and Yamagata areas were ordered to evacuate their homes.
