First Deputy PM inaugurates, lays foundation stone for service, development projects in Ibb

IBB - SABA: First Deputy Prime Minister Islamic scholar Mohammed Meftah inaugurated on Sunday 1,062 service and development projects in Ibb province, worth 17 billion, 221 million, and 67 thousand Y.R and 13 million and 287 thousand dollars, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s birthday 1446 AH and the Yemeni people’s celebrations of the Yemeni revolution holidays “September, October, November”.

Meftah, along with Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim and Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources Dr. Radhwan al-Rubai, inaugurated 94 projects worth three billion, 937 million and 580 thousand Y.R, with local funding distributed among the roads sector, 16 projects worth one billion, 178 million and 85 thousand Y.R, and a project for the supply sector worth 126 million and 406 thousand Y.R.

In addition, 26 projects were inaugurated in the agriculture sector worth 962 million and 57 thousand Y.R, 20 projects in the community initiatives sector worth 420 million Y.R, 12 projects in the health and education sectors and others worth 330 million and 197 thousand Y.R i

The officials inaugurated 697 projects in the agricultural field and other fields that were implemented through community initiatives and with the contribution of the Financing and Community Unit, as well as with a self-contribution from beneficiaries worth 13 billion and 211 million Y.R, in addition to 265 projects with central support and donor agencies worth 13 million and 278 thousand dollars.

They laid the foundation stone for 446 service and development projects worth ten billion and 60 million Y.R and seven million and 970 thousand dollars.

The projects for which the foundation stone was laid included 81 projects worth five billion and 759 million Y.R in the sectors of roads, supplies, agriculture, community initiatives, education and health, as well as 31 service projects worth one billion and 962 million Y.R.

It also included 31 projects with a community initiative and with the contribution of the Finance and Community Unit in the agricultural field, with a value of 1 billion and 166 million Y.R, as well as 269 projects for initiatives with self-contribution and support in all fields, with a value of 3 billion and 135 million Y.R, and 65 projects in the sectors of rural water, education, public works, and social fund projects, with a contribution from donors worth 7 million and 970 thousand dollars.
