Capital Secretary inaugurates unconditional cash transfer project 18th phase

SANA'A - SABA :
Dr. Hamoud Abad, the Capital Secretary , inaugurated the 18th phase of the unconditional cash transfer project for beneficiaries of the Social Welfare Fund in the Capital Secretariat.

Abad, along with the Chairman of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat, Hamoud Al-Naqib, reviewed the disbursement mechanism and the facilities provided by the concerned authorities to the beneficiaries of the project to receive their financial dues through 209 disbursement centers in the Secretariat, including 54 disbursement centers for IDPs.

They heard from the Executive Director of the Social Welfare Fund in the Secretariat, Jamila Al-Matri, an explanation about the 18th phase, which targets 69,558 beneficiaries in the Capital Secretariat, and the partners role in the success of the project.

The Executive Director of the Social Welfare Fund explained that the disbursement process from the fixed centers came after the previous phase, which consisted of delivery and mobile disbursement, in which financial dues were disbursed to the disabled, the infirm and those unable to reach the fixed exchange centers of banks and their points.

Al-Matari considered this assistance as a contribution to alleviate the burdens of the difficult circumstances of the poor as a result of the aggression and blockade the country is going through, praising the efforts of all partners, including the Social Fund for Development, in facilitating the disbursement process.
