Sana'a - Saba: The Ministry of Transport and Public Works held on Saturday a training course aimed at enhancing the knowledge of 40 employees about the Code of Professional Conduct and Work Ethics.

The training focused on equipping ministry staff with the values, principles, and professional behaviors required for public service roles.

In his opening remarks, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhaim emphasized the importance of the Code of Professional Conduct in fostering positive relationships between employees, supervisors, and citizens, ultimately leading to improved workplace cooperation and performance.

Quhaim highlighted the role of ethical behavior in achieving the state’s primary goal of serving its citizens and building a functional and effective government.

Minister Quhaim also linked the work of the ministry to Yemen’s broader efforts in supporting the Palestinian and Lebanese causes, noting that national development—particularly in administrative and service sectors—was a vital component of the country’s broader struggles.

He encouraged ministry employees to continue advancing their professional standards, contributing to Yemen's progress in line with its historical role in defending justice.

Abdullah Haidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Civil Service and Administrative Development pointed out that the Code of Conduct and the Guide for Developing Services and Simplifying Procedures mark the beginning of significant administrative reforms.

Haidar stressed the importance of institutional and career development in building competent public service units capable of meeting the needs of the nation.

He emphasized the critical role the ministry plays in maintaining Yemen's infrastructure, including roads, bridges, ports, and airports. He called on employees, especially engineers, to demonstrate national responsibility and uphold the highest ethical standards in their work.
