Hajjah - Saba: Governor Hilal al-Sufi and Secretary-General of the Local Council Ismail al-Muhayyim laid on Sunday the foundation stone for the Yemeni Red Crescent Society's new medical aid center.
This project, valued at $175,000 and funded by the International Committee of the Red Cross, aims to address the rising demand for medical services in the region by expanding the current emergency center.
Accompanied by Deputy Governor Hamoud al-Maghribi, they were briefed by Dr. Ahmed Nassar, head of the Red Crescent Society's Hajjah branch, on the three-story facility.
The officials also toured the existing emergency center, reviewing the electronic systems, the operating room, hospitalization departments, and the quality of services provided.
The local authorities expressed their gratitude for the Red Crescent Society's vital role in offering health services and swiftly responding to emergencies, pledging their support to help overcome any obstacles the organization may face.
