Discussing aspects related to shipping & maritime transportation organization to Hodeida port

Sana'a - Saba : The Transportation and Public Works Ministers , Mohammed Qahim, and Economy, Industry and Investment, Engineer Moeen Al-Mahakri, met on Saunday with representatives of shipping companies operating at Hodeida port .

During the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Transport and Works Yahya Al-Sayani, they discussed aspects related to the organization of shipping and maritime transportation to Hodeida port, in accordance with the standards and requirements for shipping, cargo entry, and safety during unloading.

At the meeting, the two ministers stressed the need for maritime shipping companies to adhere to the requirements for the shipping process , operating vessels, and not to allow any delay of cargo shipments, as this would result in damage , losses to importers, effects on the safety and quality of goods and commodities.

Qahim and Al-Mahakri praised the steadfastness of the shipping companies and their continued work over the past years despite the exceptional and difficult circumstances that Yemen has gone through and continues to go through as a result of the aggression and blockade.

They emphasized the keenness of the leadership of the Ministries of Transport and Works, Economy, Industry and Investment to cooperate and coordinate with the shipping companies to address any issues or shortcomings in performance.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of Transport and Works stressed the keenness to set specifics and controls to avoid any obstacles in working at the port.

The representatives of the shipping companies appreciated the keenness of the two ministries' leaderships to overcome the difficulties facing those working in shipping and maritime transportation to Hodeida port.
