[29/ September/2024]
Sana'a - Saba : The Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ministry expressed its disapproval of the criminal Zionist entity's continued targeting of civilian objects, facilities and fuel tanks in Al-Hodeida and Saleef ports, as well as the current and Ras Katnib power plants, which led to the killing and wounding of dozens of workers.

In a statement, the Ministry considered the targeting of vital civilian objects and facilities in Al-Hodeida as a sign of the failure of the enemy entity and its lie about having a bank of targets that it has been threatening to reach.

The statement pointed out that the senseless targeting of interests related to civilians also comes within the framework of punishing the Yemenis for their principled position consistent with the position of their leadership in supporting Gaza in the face of this entity's unprecedented criminality against the Palestinians.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry emphasized that the Zionist orgy backed by America will not pass , will be confronted and responded to, while reaffirming the solidity of the Yemeni popular and military position in support of Gaza's grievances.

"Such showy strikes, behind which the criminal Netanyahu is trying to improve his ugly image in front of his people, will only make the Yemeni position more firm, as the aggression has been practiced on the Yemenis for more than nine years with an Arab and international alliance, including America , Israel, has only increased the strength and ability of the Yemenis to confront," the statement said.

The Ministry called on the international community and relevant organizations to show a firm stance against the enemy entity's disregard and violation of international humanitarian law, which considers the targeting of facilities, civilian objects and infrastructure as war crimes in accordance with Article 54 of the Fourth Geneva Convention and Article 147, which states that "the unlawful and widespread destruction of protected property and installations" are criminal acts and grave breaches of the Convention.

It referred to Article 8(4)(a) and Article 8(b) of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, which states that "widespread destruction and appropriation of property not justified by military necessity, unlawfully and wantonly" constitutes a grave war crime.
