The Lebanese Hezbollah announced the destruction of three Zionist Merkava tanks with guided missiles while they were trying to penetrate the town of Maroun al-Ras in southern Lebanon.
A statement issued by the party said: "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the barbaric Zionist invasion of cities, villages and civilians, our Mujahideen destroyed three Merkava tanks with guided missiles while they were advancing to the town of Maroun al-Ras."
