Tehran - Saba :
The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today, Sunday, that it summoned the Australian ambassador in Tehran, due to Canberra's biased positions towards recent developments in the region, and its silence towards the Zionist entity's repeated attacks on Gaza and Lebanon.
The Iranian News Agency "IRNA" said that the Director General of Asia and Pacific Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed Ambassador of his country's objection to the biased and contrary to the standards of international law positions of the Australian government hostile to Tehran and supportive of the Zionist entity regarding the recent developments in the region and the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah, Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, and commander in the IRGC Abbas Nilforoushan.
The Iranian official described the Iranian armed forces' operation against the Zionist entity as a legal, responsible and necessary measure to protect the national security of the Iranians , the stability of the region, a response to the Zionist entity's repeated attacks on Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Reiterating the need to immediately stop the genocidal crimes in Gaza and the Zionist entity's aggression against Lebanon, the Iranian official called on the Australian government and other Western countries sponsoring this entity to adopt a responsible role in this regard; adding that unilateral and biased dealings with regional developments and giving unique readings about international norms and laws will not help reduce regional crises, but will increase the aggressor's ferocity.
