By shelling occupied city of Haifa... Hezbollah regains initiative
[08/ October/2024]
Capitals - Saba:
The facts of the field and the missile operations carried out by the resistance fighters of the Lebanese Hezbollah against the Zionist enemy forces confirm that the party has regained the initiative, and dropped all the bets of the Zionist enemy leaders on stripping the resistance of its balance, cohesion and ability to confront, following the enemy's success in assassinating the symbol of the resistance and its leader, the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

Hezbollah's insistence on continuing the confrontation is an indication that it will not allow the enemy to miss the opportunity to exploit any event to bite its capabilities, thus providing evidence that it still retains its command-and-control capabilities, weaponry, communication and operational systems.

The missile operations carried out by Hezbollah reveal a serious and real strategy through which it was able to regain the balance in the field confrontation after it appeared to have lost the security, intelligence and technological balance over the past week.

In a notable development regarding Hezbollah's missile operations, it was notable that Hezbollah shelled the occupied city of Haifa, indicating an administrative and command arrangement and operational coordination, while continuing to include new settlements that are still not empty of settlers in the Galilee in the circle of missile shelling.

Hezbollah said: It attacked areas north of Haifa with a barrage of rockets, in the second attack on Monday, after Hezbollah rockets rained down on the coastal city in the early hours of this morning.

‘In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in support of their valiant and honourable resistance, in defence of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the Zionist barbaric violation of cities, villages and civilians, our mujahideen shelled a group of kiryat north of the city of Haifa with a large rocket salvo,’ the statement read.

In the early morning hours, Hezbollah fired rockets at military sites in Haifa and Tiberias, wounding ten settlers.

Earlier in the day, Hezbollah announced that it had shelled a gathering of Zionist enemy forces' vehicles and personnel behind the Jal al-Alam position and the settlements of Karmiel and Kfar Fradim with rocket bursts.

Hezbollah also confirmed that its forces shelled a gathering of Zionist forces behind the gate of Rumaysh town with a rocket round.
The Zionist enemy army announced that it is investigating the failure of its defence systems to intercept missiles fired from Lebanon at Haifa.

The enemy army said: ‘Attempts were made to intercept’, although ‘several rocket hits were identified in the area’. ‘The incident is under investigation.

Footage from Haifa showed that streets in the northern port city were damaged by a direct missile hit.

Many political and military analysts point out that Hezbollah's expansion of the scope of its missile operations, targeting for the first time civilian areas, specifically in Haifa, confirms that the party is committed to the decision to launch missiles and has the ability to continue firing them, and therefore will do everything possible to deter the Zionist entity and there will be no ceiling as long as it continues to commit massacres against civilians and crosses all red lines.

In this context, military expert Brigadier General Elias Hanna said: Hezbollah's shelling of the occupied city of Haifa is ‘a turning point and a strategic decision, not a tactical one,’ in response to the Zionist enemy's targeting of civilians in Lebanon.

Hanna told Al Jazeera that Hezbollah has previously targeted military bases and facilities in Haifa, most notably the Ramat David airbase, but the new shelling ‘hit civilian areas, which means they entered the targeting circle.

Hanna, a retired Lebanese army brigadier general, said the shelling indicates that Hizbullah is regaining its balance to coincide with the anniversary of 7 October 2023.

He expressed his conviction that Hizbullah has a dynamic, command and control system south of the Blue Line, unlike the situation in Beirut's southern suburbs.

Hanna questioned where the missile was launched: ‘If it was launched from the (Imad 4) facility, Hezbollah's precision missiles are still in the tunnels and are able to hide and are difficult to detect,’ he said, before answering, ’This is something new in this case.

The military expert believes Hizbullah knows how to avoid the enemy entity's defence system. He pointed out that no country is able to repel all targets by 100 per cent, and that Hizbullah has a bank of targets thanks to the ‘al-HudHud’ videos.

He noted that Hizbullah's statement linked the Lebanon front to the Gaza front in a message that it ‘continues the support battle, and has the capabilities and means, even if they are not the same as they were before the assassination of its secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah.
