Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro emphasized that his country will always stand by Palestine and will not leave it alone in its just cause.
Maduro said in an interview on a Venezuelan radio station on Tuesday: "Venezuela is in solidarity with the Palestinians." He emphasized the need to "liberate Palestine."
He pointed to the "genocide" committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza Strip for more than a year.
"The defense of Palestine's right to life, independence and existence is the same as the defense of the right of Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean to exist."
Maduro blamed the United States and Britain for the escalation of violence in the Middle East. He said: "There is a war of extermination being waged against the Palestinian people, and now there are attacks on Lebanon."
