[08/ October/2024]
Gaza - Saba :
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday evening that the Zionist enemy army surrounded Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza governorate and shot at the hospital's administration office.

The ministry said in a statement: The hospital will stop within hours due to running out of fuel.

The ministry emphasized that the enemy is demanding that Kamal Adwan, Indonesian and Al-Awda hospitals be evacuated from patients and health staff, otherwise they will face the same fate as Shifa Hospital by destroying, killing and arresting them.

It noted that the Zionist enemy arrested a paramedic who accompanied one of the intensive care cases when they were transferred from Kamal Adwan Hospital after the coordination procedures were completed.

The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, said: We were officially informed to evacuate the hospital within 24 hours from all patients , wounded, and from all medical staff, and that tomorrow the hospital will be empty of all its departments.

He added in press statements, quoted by the Palestinian Media Center: "The Zionist army called me directly after we transferred some cases today to Gaza hospitals, which were five children to the nursery department, and there was a wounded person who was transferred to Ahli Hospital, and after coordination through human rights organizations, one of the paramedics was arrested, and so far the paramedic has not been released and is under interrogation."

Abu Safiya appealed to the world and international organizations to take action to stop the Zionist aggression against the health sector, which deepens the suffering of the people in the northern Gaza Strip.

He stressed: "We told all international organizations that North Gaza governorate is densely populated, and we have the right to provide them with health services.

"We will remain steadfast and provide service to our people, no matter what the cost," he concluded.
