Campaign to regulate traffic in Bani Matar district in Sana'a Governorate

Sana'a-Saba:
Today, the General Directorate of Traffic in Sana'a Governorate, in collaboration with the Works Sector and the local authority of Bani Matar District, launched a campaign to clear violations and random stalls, and to regulate traffic along the main street in the heart of Matna district.

The initiative is designed to clear out non-compliant stalls, deter shopkeepers, restaurants, workshops, and qat vendors from occupying sidewalks, and eliminate derelict vehicles from the main thoroughfare in Souk Matna, all to alleviate traffic congestion, particularly during rush hours.

During the campaign, in the presence of the director of the directorate, Yahya Al-Qannous, and the official of the works sector in the governorate, Engineer Muhammad Aisha, the director of traffic of the governorate, Colonel Abdul Rahman Al-Ataki, explained that the campaign aims to facilitate and regulate traffic and preserve the civilized and aesthetic appearance of cities in the governorate.

He pointed out that the campaign is accompanied by the implementation of field awareness programs on the importance of longitudinal parking and adherence to traffic controls and guidelines.

The director of the directorate appreciated the efforts made by the traffic department in the governorate and the works sector, along with the local authority in the directorate, to implement field campaigns to alleviate traffic congestion and remove stalls and random violations from the streets and markets of the directorate.

He stressed support for all efforts to alleviate the suffering of citizens and road and market users and improve the general appearance of the directorate.
