Israeli military radio confirmed that 25 soldiers were injured in ongoing battles in southern Lebanon on Sunday.
Reports indicate that Hezbollah engaged in clashes with Israeli forces near "Ramia" site, coinciding with attacks on northern Israeli settlements, prompting sirens to sound in Haifa and Kiryat Shmona. Military helicopters were deployed to transport injured soldiers to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
The Israeli army spokesman noted that an officer and a reserve soldier from the 9220th Battalion of Etzioni Brigade sustained serious injuries in these confrontations.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported around 20 soldiers injured in two separate incidents during ground operations.
This escalation comes as Israeli airstrikes continue against Lebanon, with the military attempting to advance into southern regions, facing resistance from Hezbollah, which has been targeting Israeli positions and vehicles near the border.
