In Hodeidah Governorate, a training workshop for surveyors took place at the Al-Durayhimi Agricultural Cooperative Society. The workshop focused on the methods of collecting data from dairy producers at the directorate level and was organized by the Agricultural Cooperative Union of the governorate.
The workshop, in coordination with the Tihama Development Authority and Bonyan Development Foundation, aimed to provide 40 participants, including surveyors and milk collectors, with basic skills on methods of counting dairy producers in isolation and villages and the mechanism of collecting milk within the agricultural association in the district.
At the opening of the workshop, in the presence of the Director of the Cooperative Union Branch in the governorate, Ahmed Al-Haij, the Chairman of the Tihama Development Authority, Ali Hazza, explained the great role of the Dairy Association and Producers in the Directorate in contributing to achieving self-sufficiency and saving the import bill, by making progress in the rate of daily production of milk compared to associations and producers in some directorates.
He stressed the importance of the survey to establish a correct database of producers, which contributes to improving services and providing needs that would develop their inputs, increase dairy production rates and meet the needs of the local market.
