The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning on Monday expected scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity in a number of governorates during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected in scattered areas of the Tehama Plain and the governorates of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Hodeida, Mahweet, Hajjah and western Sa'ada.
Scattered rains are likely to fall in parts of the governorates of Abyan, Dhalea, Raymah and western Dhamar.
According to the center, the amount of rain that fell during the past 24 hours and was measured at the meteorological monitoring stations in Hodeida - Zabid: 25.3 mm, Ibb: 0.2, and scattered rains between medium and heavy fell outside the stations in parts of the governorates of Lahj, Taiz, Mahweet and Hajjah.
The center warned citizens against being in valleys and flood paths during and after rainfall and from thunderstorms, and the decrease in horizontal visibility due to rainfall and the formation of dense cumulus clouds.
