The Health and Environment Minister, Dr. Ali Abdulkarim Sheiban, inspected on Tuesday the progress of work on the main building project of Rasul Al-Azam Oncology Hospital in Al-Jarda'a area in Sana'a.

Minister Sheiban listened to an explanation of the components of the project "Phase I" and what has been achieved in the infrastructure of the hospital, which has reached 60 percent completion rate, designed according to the latest specifications to be a reference for patients in various provinces, from the project managers Hamid Al Yadei and Abdul Wahab Taher.

The Health Minister emphasized the importance of equipping and rehabilitating the building to provide medical and therapeutic services to cancer patients, especially in light of the circumstances the country is going through, urging speedy completion according to the specifications and technical standards.

The Health and Environment Minister , Dr. Ali Sheiban, inspected on Tuesday the progress of work on the project of the National Laboratory for the Control of Medicines of the Supreme Pharmaceutical Authority in Al Jarda'a area.

The Health Minister, along with HMC Chairman Dr. Ali Abbas and his deputy Mohammed Al-Nuami, listened to an explanation of the project's components and equipment for various administrative and technical departments and laboratories from the Director General of Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Health, Muhannad Abdul Wahab Taher.

During the visit, Minister Sheiban emphasized the need for everyone to be responsible and work professionally away from any influences that do not serve the pharmaceutical market, urging the speedy completion of the project because of the role of the laboratory in developing the pharmaceutical sector in Yemen and ensuring the provision of the health sector needs of medicines and providing a strategic stock that meets the country's needs during the next phase.

The Health and Environment Minister praised the efforts of the Higher Pharmaceutical Authority and its staff to achieve quality and effectiveness of medicines, as medicine is related to human life.
