The Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission, in its meeting under the chairmanship of the Commission's Deputy Chairman, Raydan Mohammed Al-Mutawakel, approved on Tuesday the referral of 13 defendants to the prosecution.
It referred 9 defendants in a corruption case to the Public Funds Prosecution specialized in corruption cases to complete the procedures for initiating and filing criminal proceedings against them before the Public Funds and Anti-Corruption Court.
The corruption incident consists of manipulation, fraud, and financial transgressions with a damage volume in that case of more than 115 million riyals.
The commission referred two defendants to the Public Funds Prosecution in a case of committing a crime of obstruction of work, and another defendant in a case of impersonation.
The commission also referred a defendant in a case of assault on a public official and attempted murder to the West Secretariat Prosecution.
In its meeting, the Anti-Corruption Commission discussed a number of grievances submitted by citizens and took the necessary measures regarding them.
