The consultative meeting on the draft e-commerce law, organized by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment, began in Sana'a today.
In the opening, the Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment, Eng. Moeen Hashem Al-Mahagri, stressed the importance of the meeting to extract the observations of the relevant government agencies and the private sector and enter them into the final draft of the project, stressing the importance of speeding up the issuance of the law to regulate e-commerce and protect the rights of dealers in it, as well as consumer protection.
He pointed out that the issuance of the e-commerce law has become urgent in light of its significance and a necessary step imposed by the requirements of global trade developments. He noted the importance of the law remaining flexible, amendable, and developed to meet the requirements of e-commerce development and serve the national economy.
