Today in Sana'a, the Board of Directors of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Handicapped convened a meeting led by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Samir Bajaala.
In the meeting, a number of issues related to the work, competencies, and tasks of the Council were discussed, and its role, which is relied upon by many persons with disabilities who are embraced and sponsored by associations within various rehabilitation programs.
The meeting listened to some views and perceptions on the Council's management, policies, and future work programs, especially about supporting associations and disbursing the financial allocations that they need to manage their work and implement their programs, following the regulations and systems.
The Council stressed the support and empowerment of associations to play their role in serving the disabled segment, in a way that contributes to making their members active and productive elements in society.
The meeting approved the request of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, which includes reviewing and verifying the financial situation of the Fund to meet the coverage of the allocations of associations in accordance with the specified regulations and standards and submitting this to the next meeting next Saturday.
