Today's meeting in Marib Governorate focused on the mechanisms for implementing the emergency agricultural program and the winter season plan.
The meeting reviewed the implementation plan of the emergency agriculture program, which comes within the framework of the project to expand the cultivation of grains and legumes by educating farmers about the importance of the sector in providing food and reaching self-sufficiency.
In the meeting, the Governorate's Undersecretary for Development Affairs, Daris Al-Moawadi, stressed the importance of exploiting the current winter season to cultivate the largest amount of land with priority crops, pointing to the future vision of the desired agricultural plan in light of the aggression and blockade.
The meeting, which was attended by the directors of Harib al-Qaramish districts, Sadiq Hisan and Bidbida Daraan al-Saqqaf, and several directors of agricultural departments and heads of cooperative societies, enriched the opinions and discussions aimed at enhancing the efforts made during the previous years within the project to expand the cultivation of wheat, corn, and legumes, and work to update the data of irrigated irrigation farmers and correct the data of agricultural dates for crops grown in each district.
