Hajjah Saba:
Today, the Hajjah branch of the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and the Yemen Red Crescent Society initiated the distribution of shelter assistance to numerous families impacted by the floods in the Wadhrah district.
The distribution was part of the emergency response conducted by the Yemen Red Crescent Society branch, in collaboration with the Qatar Red Crescent, and aimed at assisting 330 families affected by the crisis.
At the inauguration, Dr. Ahmed Nassar, the head of the Yemen Red Crescent Society branch in the governorate, stated that these interventions are part of the Red Crescent's ongoing plans and programs designed to reduce the suffering of the affected individuals.
He highlighted the association's interventions in the province, which were part of the emergency response project for those afflicted and affected by the floods in several directorates. He commended the support provided by the Qatar Red Crescent.
The representative of the branch of the Supreme Council in the province, Fouad Nassar, explained that this aid comes within the path of relief interventions to alleviate the suffering of families affected by the torrential rains.
He stressed the role of humanitarian partners in expanding the circle of interventions and assistance to alleviate the suffering of those affected. He appreciated the efforts of the implementing partner with these interventions.
The inauguration was attended by Qatar Red Crescent representative Nader Al Mansour.
