Japanese stock indices rose in morning trading session at the Tokyo Stock Exchange Tuesday.
According to Japanese media, the Nikkei 225-share index rose 627.83 points, or 1.59 percent, to reach 40,233.63 points.
The broader Topix index added 30.80 points, or 1.14 percent, to reach 2,737.00 points.
