The expanded Israeli offensive on Gaza could lead to dire impacts on the global economy, the World Bank's president said late on Tuesday, criticizing the huge losses in civilian lives as unacceptable.
While the war has relatively small impact on the global economy so far, a wider conflict would attract other countries that largely contribute to the World development, including countries exporting primary goods, Ajay Banja added in an interview.
