Sana'a - Saba: A meeting at the Information Technology Center in Sana'a on Saturday, headed by the Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi, discussed the conditions of public universities, the difficulties they face and ways to address them.
The meeting, which included the Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Dais, a number of the ministry's leaders, and the presidents of public universities, addressed the mechanism for improving the educational process and resolving the problems facing students and universities regarding requests for free scholarships and reductions in tuition fees in various higher education systems.
In this regard, the meeting approved the formation of a committee headed by the Deputy Minister and the membership of five representatives from public universities and the same number from private universities, and holding a workshop to discuss the conditions of higher education in public and private universities, identify strengths and successes and strengthen them, and shortcomings, and develop proposed treatments and schedule them according to shared visions and understandings that contribute to raising the level of performance, organizing the work mechanism and improving the quality of outputs.
