Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina was crowned today, Sunday, the title of the 500-point Ningbo Chinese Tennis Championship, after winning the final match against her young compatriot Mirra Andreeva.
According to Russia Today, Kasatkina, the world No. 11 and the fifth favorite for the tournament title, beat Andreeva, 17, in two sets, 6-0, 4-6, 6-4, in a match that lasted an hour and 55 minutes.
In Ningbo, Kasatkina played her 19th final and fifth in 2024, lifting the champion's trophy for the second time this year after her victory in Eastbourne, the eighth title of her career.
