Capital Mayor inspects street restoration work in Maeen district

Capital mayor Dr. Hamoud Ubad inspected on Monday the ongoing restoration and maintenance work on several streets in Maeen district, emphasizing community involvement in these efforts.

Accompanied by Undersecretary al-Laheji, district director Abdulmalik al-Radhi, and Mohammed al-Bashiri, Director of the Urban Improvement Department at the Sanitation Fund, Abbad reviewed the restoration activities on al-Tawhid Street and adjacent roads in Hael neighborhood. These efforts are part of a project where the community contributes 20 percent.

During the visit, they received an update from Engineer Abdullatif al-Wali, responsible for the Emergency Street Treatment Program.

He explained the ongoing work to fill potholes with concrete on al-Tawhid Street as an emergency measure to prevent further damage.

Al-Wali highlighted the achievements of field teams in addressing flood and rain damage on various streets and confirmed that work is continuing on the targeted areas within the emergency program.

Mayor Ubad assessed the restoration efforts of the pedestrian bridge on al-Sitteen Street leading to al-Sunaina neighborhood.

He listened to the Directorate's explanation of the maintenance work, which has been supported by a benefactor.

Ubad praised the efforts of Maeen district director and the community’s contributions to the rehabilitation of al-Sunaina pedestrian bridge.

He reaffirmed the Capital Sana'a commitment to implementing projects that benefit the community and expressed a desire to foster and support local initiatives aimed at promoting development and overcoming challenges amid ongoing aggression and siege.
