Maj. Gen. Ismail al-Muayyad, head of the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority at the Ministry of Interior, along with Major General Aziz al-Jaradi, Director of Security for Hodeida province, inaugurated on Tuesday the second phase of the new central correctional facility building in the province. The project is funded by the Authority and the Hodeida Support and Development Fund.
During the opening, al-Muayyad and al-Jaradi, accompanied by Judge Hadi Ayda, head of the province's appeal prosecution, inspected the contents and equipment of the new building.
They received a briefing from Col. Mansour al-Hasani, Director of the Central Correctional Facility, about the structure, which comprises five wards, each with a capacity of 60 individuals, designated for the Department of Morals.
Col. al-Hasani expressed gratitude for the leadership of the Authority and the Hodeida Support Fund for their significant contributions to the development of the new facility, which meets legal standards and provides comprehensive health services and care for inmates, aimed at alleviating their hardships in the old building.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Faran, Undersecretary of the Authority; advisor Asim Al-Haith; Brig. Gen. Khalil al-Nuaimi, Director General of Care and Rehabilitation; Brig. Gen. Adel al-Badri, Director of Internal Affairs; and several directors of central corrections from various provinces.
