Customs officers at Afar Customs Centre in Baydha Governorate foiled an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of narcotic pills that were on their way to Sana'a from Marib.
The director of Afar Customs Centre, Fahd Hazza'a, told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the amount of pills seized amounted to one million and 650,000 pills that were professionally hidden in a trailer inside a safe in the front of the refrigerator from the inside.
He praised the vigilance of the customs staff for their efforts and their ability to discover the smuggled quantity, stressing that the center will spare no effort in performing its national tasks and thwarting attempts to smuggle various goods and drugs.
