Sana'a condemns Zionist attack on Indonesian Hospital in Gaza
[22/ October/2024]
Sana'a - Saba:
Sana'a Ministry of Health and Environment on Tuesday strongly condemned the targeting of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza by the usurper entity and setting it on fire.

In a statement, a copy of which was received by Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the ministry denounced the brutal crimes committed by the terrorist Zionist army against the health system in the Gaza Strip, noting that since the beginning of the criminal aggression of the Zionist enemy against Gaza, it has been deliberately targeting the health system in the north of the Strip, through its blockade and direct shelling of medical, health and ambulance crews, the latest of which is the burning of the Indonesian hospital today.

The statement considered the deliberate targeting by direct shelling of hospitals, medical and ambulatory centers and crews, blockading them and preventing the entry of fuel and medical and therapeutic supplies as full-fledged war crimes in violation of all international and humanitarian covenants and norms, explaining that the Zionist enemy caused during (380) days of the genocidal war and its targeting of the health system to put (34) hospitals out of service, as well as (80) health centres and (162) health institutions.

The statement stated that the Israeli enemy army has so far killed 986 doctors, nurses and health workers, arrested 310 medical staff and imprisoned three doctors, namely Adnan al-Borsh, Iyad al-Rantisi and Ziad al-Dalou, in addition to many of those executed by the occupation without disclosing their names.

The statement stressed that the destruction of Al-Shifa Medical Complex by the occupation was a severe blow to the health system in Gaza Strip, pointing out that this brutal crime and the previous occupation crimes and massacres against patients, wounded and medical staff in a number of hospitals during the past months have led to a real humanitarian disaster in the Strip, at the same time it imposed a tight blockade during which it prevented the entry of medical and humanitarian aid and fuel, which caused the decline of medical services provided and thousands of patients lost their lives.

The statement called on the Arab and Islamic peoples and human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate and urgent action to stop the Zionist terrorist aggression and massacres against hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, protect the sick, wounded and medical staff, lift the siege on the northern Gaza Strip, which is witnessing a Nazi holocaust, and bring in the necessary medicines, medical and humanitarian supplies and fuel.
