Al-Bayda Tenders Committee approves tenders for number of service & development projects

Bayda - Saba:
The Tenders Committee in Al-Bayda province, under the chairmanship of Governor Abdullah Idris, approved on Tuesday tenders for a number of service and development projects at a cost of up to 188 million riyals.

The approved tenders included additional works for the construction, surveying and paving of Al-Saidiya road in Al-Tafa district at a cost of six million and 815 thousand riyals, emergency intervention to restore a government building in the city of Rada'a at a cost of 12 million riyals, stone paving and protection works for rugged areas on Aqabat Zaaj road in Wald Rabie district at a cost of 23 million and 887 thousand riyals, and rehabilitation of Al-Hanaka water project in Al-Zahir district at a cost of six million and 466 thousand riyals.

The tenders also included projects to pave and restore Martyr Al-Omari Street in Rada'a city at a cost of 43 million , 611,000 riyals, maintenance and restoration of the agricultural extension center in Sabah district at a cost of 11 million and 195,000 riyals with funding from the local authority, and stone paving of Al-Mallah road in Al-Bayda district, to which the Central Emergency Intervention Unit is contributing by providing cement and diesel at a cost of 10 million riyals.

The approved tenders also included the drilling of two wells for two water projects in the isolated village of Al-Zahir district at an estimated cost of 18 million 131 thousand riyals, the replacement of the main sewer line in the cultural district of Al-Bayda city at a cost of 19 million and 85 thousand riyals with a length of 600 meters, and the emergency intervention project to restore the wall of Shamar Yahrash Castle in Radaa district at a cost of 36 million and 582 thousand riyals.

The committee approved the service and agricultural projects that will be announced in a number of directorates, and referred a number of projects to the technical committee to study them and take appropriate measures

At the meeting, which was attended by province deputies Abdullah al-Jamali and Saleh al-Mansouri, Governor Idris stressed the importance of concerted efforts to implement the projects approved in the investment program for the current year, according to priority.

He stressed the need for coordination between the technical committee and the concerned offices in order to contribute to the completion of development , service projects according to specifications and the specified time period.
