Sana'a - Saba: The Supreme Judicial Council convened for its weekly session under the leadership of the Council's President, Judge Dr. Abdul Momen Shuja Al-Din.

The meeting addressed a draft amendment to the operating regulations of the Judicial Inspection Authority to bolster its role and oversight mechanisms in the assessment of judicial work, as well as advancing the Authority's function in enhancing judicial performance.

The Council ratified the performance report of the Judicial Inspection Authority for the judicial year 1445 AH and instructed the Authority to consider the observations noted in the report regarding the review outcomes submitted by the Council members and the General Secretariat.

The report outlined the Authority's objectives and achievements over the past year, detailing the Commission's results, the advancements in court performance, the monitoring of case resolutions, and the reception of citizens' complaints. It also covered the processes for staff transfers and court vacancy appointments, the initiation of disciplinary actions against non-compliant judges, and the implementation of training and development programs for judges and Commission members.

The Judicial Council examined the memorandum from the head of the inspection body regarding the study presented by the president of the Court of Appeal in Saada Governorate. The study outlines various challenges that impede the progress of judicial work and slow down the resolution of cases in the governorate.

The Council instructed the Minister of Justice and Human Rights and the Chairman of the Inspection Body to study and review the matter and to submit the necessary proposals thereon to the Council at a future meeting.

The Council also approved a draft resolution to organize its meetings and take its decisions, enabling it to carry out the tasks and duties entrusted to it by law.

It examined several requests transmitted by the Office of the President of the Republic, to which are annexed the studies prepared by the Ombudsman Commission on the review of some judicial rulings issued against several complainants, and took the appropriate decisions thereon.

The Council discussed a number of topics on its agenda, took appropriate decisions on them, and approved the minutes of its previous meeting after making some amendments to it.
