Russia has surpassed Japan as the fourth largest economy in the world in terms of purchasing power parity, the International Monetary Fund said, with Russia's share of the global economy at 3.55% in 2024. China, the US, and India occupy the top three positions.
The Russian economy is expected to grow by 3.6% in 2024 and 2.5% in 2025.
