Today, the Hodeida Governorate branch of the National Cancer Foundation held two awareness events focused on breast cancer and methods of self-examination.
The events, conducted as part of the Pink October campaign activities for the year 1446 AH, focused on obstetricians, midwives, nurses, and a group of mothers at Ad Dahi Rural District Hospital and the Health Center in Al-Kaden.
During the events, two lectures were delivered detailing the symptoms of the infection, early diagnosis techniques, treatment methods, and surgical interventions for breast cancer.
Abdul Majeed Al-Zailai, the Director of the Media Department at the Foundation, stated that Pink October is the internationally recognized month for conducting extensive campaigns focused on women, school and university students, and health sector workers.
He pointed out that the Foundation seeks through this campaign, which was launched at the beginning of this month, to reduce the rates of breast cancer through awareness, education and the work of programs and activities that contribute to educating the community about the importance of early detection of this disease.
