Gaza - Saba: The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said that children in Gaza are dying from pain as a result of not receiving the emergency treatment they need, in light of the continuous decrease in Israeli approvals for medical evacuation cases after the closure of the Rafah crossing.
James Elder of UNICEF explained during a UN press briefing in Geneva, today, Friday, that while about 300 children were being evacuated monthly in the past, the number has now decreased to less than one child per day, while the authorities continue to wait in vain for security approvals from the Israeli authorities that control exit from the Strip.
