[26/ October/2024]
Sana'a - Saba:

Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi on Saturday visited the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to assess the ongoing integration process, specifically the incorporation of the relief and humanitarian sector within the ministry’s framework.

During the visit, the Prime Minister met with Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Baja'alah, along with Anas Sufyan, the Chairman of the Integration Committee and Ministry Undersecrectry of Civil Service and Administrative Development.

They provided an update on the steps taken to advance the integration process in line with the approved legal and technical procedures outlined in Republican Decree No. 12 of 1446 AH, which defines the objectives, tasks, competencies, and organizational divisions of the ministry.

Al-Rahawi commended the efforts of the Minister and the committee members, praising their approach to implementing the merger decision effectively while considering the necessary procedures to meet the goals set by the decree.

He emphasized the significant responsibility the Ministry of Social Affairs holds toward various segments of the Yemeni population, noting that the addition of the humanitarian relief sector necessitates increased efforts from all involved parties to fulfill their roles in assisting the most vulnerable groups.

The Prime Minister also met with employees affected by the merger, listening to their concerns and discussing potential solutions to the challenges they face. He reassured them that the merger process is not intended to target any individual but is a necessary response to the challenges of administrative inflation, overlapping tasks, and unclear responsibilities.

Al-Rahawi highlighted the broader impact of government integration, noting its role in enhancing efficiency, rationalizing spending, and combating corruption.

He stated that effective governance requires a streamlined administrative structure, free from bureaucratic obstacles.

The premier assured employees that no one would be excluded from their positions; rather, all would be integrated according to the merger decision, reinforcing the state’s commitment to support and embrace all its citizens.
