A meeting held on Wednesday in the capital Sana'a, attended by the Deputy Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, Brig. Gen. Mohammed al-Abbali, and the Director of Public Relations and Moral Guidance, Brig. Gen. Hassan al-Hadi, focused on mechanisms to strengthen the relationship between society and police personnel.
The meeting addressed ways to correct errors and address shortcomings in the performance of some members of the Ministry of Interior.
During the meeting, Brig. Gen. al-Abbali highlighted the monitoring and inspection mechanisms implemented by the agency across various components of the Ministry of Interior, emphasizing their role in evaluating the performance of its members.
He also discussed the role of the Complaints and Reports Center in addressing violations committed by some officers and personnel, outlining the punitive measures taken by the agency to ensure justice for citizens who file complaints.
Al-Abbali praised the efforts of the General Department of Public Relations and Guidance in promoting the positive aspects of security personnel’s performance. He emphasized the importance of instilling values of benevolence and discipline, as well as fostering a faith-based affiliation among officers and personnel through awareness and cultural programs, as well as through messages disseminated by security media that highlight the achievements of the Ministry of Interior.
In turn, the Director of Public Relations and Moral Guidance underscored the necessity of intensifying efforts to maintain the successes of the Ministry of Interior, prevent imbalances, and limit violations by police officers and personnel. He emphasized the importance of promptly addressing complaints submitted by citizens.
He expressed the Public Relations and Guidance Department's readiness to support the tasks of the Inspector General's Department through a collaborative mechanism aimed at enhancing cooperation and partnership between society and the police, thereby bolstering the security and stability observed in the free zones and provinces.
