The Spanish government canceled contracts to purchase ammunition from a company “affiliated with the Zionist enemy” for the benefit of the Civil Guard in the Kingdom, and prevented its counterparts from participating in offers to purchase weapons for the Spanish forces.
The Spanish Ministry of Interior stated in a statement last night that it had begun the process of terminating a contract with an Israeli company to purchase ammunition for the Civil Guard, and the contract was put up for tender on February 21, and the decision to terminate was taken on October 21, explaining that other “Israeli” companies will not be allowed to participate in offers to purchase weapons, which are currently under review by the General Directorate of the Civil Guard.
On October 14, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called on the European Commission to respond to the official request from Madrid and Dublin to suspend the free trade agreement with “Israel” due to its actions in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
He also called on the international community to stop arms exports to “Israel” as soon as possible due to its continued aggression against Gaza and Lebanon.
