The Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control destroyed, today, about 21 thousand electrical plugs, joint adapters and electrical connections that do not meet the approved standard specifications.
The organization explained, in a statement issued by it, that it destroyed 17 thousand and 222 electrical plugs and joint adapters that do not meet the approved standard specifications, in that the two-pin plug and the plug pins are not made of copper, and there are no protective seals in the adapter sockets, and 3 thousand and 720 electrical connections that do not meet the approved standard specifications in that there are no protective seals for the openings and the third line "grounding".
It pointed out that the destruction process was carried out in cooperation with the relevant authorities in accordance with the law and the powers granted to the Authority to protect citizens, stressing that the Authority continues to carry out its duties and tasks in preventing the entry of any expired and adulterated goods, combating commercial fraud in all its forms, and providing health, economic and environmental protection.
The statement called on everyone to cooperate with the Authority in a way that contributes to achieving protection for the country and citizens from adulterated, smuggled and unfit for use goods.
