Discussing mechanism of cooperation between Science & Technology Authority & Agricultural Unit in Capital Secretariat

A meeting at the Higher Commission for Science, Technology and Innovation in Sana'a discussed on Saturday the mechanism of cooperation and coordination between the Commission , the Unit for Financing Agricultural , Fisheries Initiatives and Projects in the Capital Secretariat.

The meeting, chaired by Dr. Mounir Al-Qadi, approved the formation of a team from the two sides to prepare a joint cooperation agreement between the Commission and the unit, through which a work mechanism and an implementation plan will be prepared in the fields of work related to innovators, researchers, modern technologies and others.

In the presence of the directors of the Agricultural and Fisheries Unit, Engineer Abdulmalik Al-Insi, the Secretariat's Finance Office, Mohammed Al-Junaid, Energy, Agricultural and Industrial Development, Engineer Osama Al-Damashqi, Projects and Investment, Fawaz Al-Hubaishi and representatives of Bunyan Development Foundation, it was agreed to fund the unit to study the distribution of solar dryers in agricultural production areas in coordination with the concerned authorities and prepare research related to the executive studies of agricultural and fisheries projects.

The meeting stressed the need to prepare a preliminary concept , proposals for financing the fertilizer and pesticide preparation plant for agricultural reform, so that a joint workshop will be held and the relevant parties will be identified to participate in it.

The meeting stressed the importance of utilizing modern research and technologies related to the agricultural , fisheries field, and examining the possibility of finding the necessary funding and transforming them into implementable projects on the ground in a way that contributes to achieving the desired goals of reducing costs, improving quality and increasing production in the agricultural and fisheries fields
