The Customs Cultural Institute in Sana'a began on Monday a specialized training course in the field of auditing and adjustment, held within the framework of the institutional performance development and capacity building program for the technical cadres of the Customs Authority.
The course, which lasts until December 2 of this year, is attended by 30 trainees from the auditing and adjustment staff working in offices, ports and customs centers, and is lectured by six customs experts, dealing with topics related to customs, international and local control laws, chemical hazards, organic and inorganic substances, as well as laws and procedures related to customs work and the importance of characterization, audit and the Harmonized System.
At the opening, Abdulkarim Al-Mansour, advisor to the head of the authority for tariff and value affairs, pointed out the importance of the course, which aims to qualify and train technical cadres in the audit and adjustment department.
Faisal Al-Thawab, Director of the Customs Cultural Institute, stressed the institute's keenness to provide qualitative , specialized technical and administrative courses for customs cadres.
He pointed out that developing skills, enhancing and building capacities are among the priorities of the institute, pointing out the importance of the audit and adjustment officer as a basic line of defense to protect the security , safety of society, and his role is no less important than that of the soldier in the field.
