Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi has affirmed that protecting consumer rights and enhancing product quality are top priorities for the Government of Change and Development and its executive agencies.
During a meeting today with Sharaf Al-Hamzi, Chairman of the National Organization for Quality Control and Consumer Protection, and the organization’s Executive Director Ghassan Haidar, the Prime Minister emphasized the supportive role of active civil society organizations. He highlighted their crucial contributions in advocating consumer issues and complementing governmental efforts in this area.
Al-Rahwi stressed the importance of ongoing collaboration between all relevant governmental and community entities to ensure product quality and provide a safe and healthy environment for citizens.
During the meeting, Al-Hamzi provided an overview of the organization’s strategic plan, detailing its preparation phases, foundations, goals, and initiatives, as well as the challenges and risks encountered. He also underlined the significance of partnerships between the public sector and civil society organizations to improve quality standards and raise consumer awareness.
